Abacus is a tool that was discovered around 3000 years ago by chinese and later on it spread to other countries. It is a calculating tool that consist of beads that can be moved up and down in house, It help in overall development of a child. It boost the memory an increase learning capacity. Learning to use the abacus helps teach you a new way of counting and how to add and subtract using complementary numbers. By learning to solve problems in new ways, you can come up with better and often easier solutions to all sorts of problems.

Abacuses come in different designs. Although today many use calculators and computers instead of abacuses to calculate, abacuses still remain in common use in some countries. Children do fast calculations in mind by visualizing Abacus bead movements. Also researches proves that Abacus learners uses both sides of the brain- left hemisphere & right hemisphere. Highly effective in improving the concentration level of children. `Mental arithmetic` improves student’s imagination skills.
